Threads “Mark Zuckerberg’s Twitter” One can have “Threads” only if he has an Instagram account and deleting “Threads” means deleting an Instagram account too; Meta

Response received to threads is unbelievable, 10 million user signups in just seven hours, and a day before publishing this article these numbers claimed to be 70 million. But the weird thing is you have to be an Instagram user to sign up for Threads, if you do not have an Instagram account then you have to get one first, to enter the new Threads platform.

And if you have to delete your Thread account then you have to delete the linked Instagram account as well. A max sigh of relief is, that you can deactivate the Threads profile, but the profile cannot be deleted if you do not delete your Instagram account. Basically Meta claims; that the Threads profile is part of an Instagram account, so they both are concomitant with each other.

Threads blasted on social platforms as a potential rival to Elon’s Twitter, and the warming response of users shows that they like waiting for Twitter’s competitor for years.

Mark Zuckerberg in one of his Threads posts explained his point of view for his new app, “I think there should be a public conversations app with 1 billion+ people on it. Twitter has had the opportunity to do this but hasn’t nailed it. Hopefully we will.”

Login: Threads; and feel the world.
